  • Yes, completely. You remain aware throughout, you can open your eyes at any time, and you choose what to share. Clinical hypnotherapy is nothing like stage hypnosis.

  • Hypnosis is not something done to you, it’s a natural state you enter willingly, like being absorbed in a book or daydreaming.

  • That’s completely fine. Guided imagery doesn’t require perfect mental pictures. The idea of a scene, the emotions, or physical sensations are enough. Many people with aphantasia benefit fully from hypnotherapy.

  • No. You remain in control of what you say and do. Therapeutic hypnosis is collaborative, not controlling.

  • It varies. Single sessions can provide insight, but meaningful change typically unfolds over 6-12 sessions. We will discuss this in your initial conversation. We can also adapt as we go.

  • The initial coversation will be 30 minutes. The first session is 90 minutes, to give us a chance to fully understand the difficulties you are experiencing. All subsequent sessions are 60 minutes.

  • Sessions are conducted online, via a secure video platform.

  • Yes. Many clients are new to therapy and coaching. I’ll explain everything clearly at each stage and we move at your pace.

  • Possibly. We can discuss what didn’t work before and whether I can offer you something different.

  • You do not have to be experiencing severe crisis to deserve help. If life feels harder than it should, that’s enough reason to explore whether this could help.

  • Yes, to a point. Everything shared in sessions in confidential, expect in rare circumstances where there’s a risk or serious harm to you, or someone else, or where required by law.

  • That is completely fine. This is a safe space to feel whatever comes up. Emotion isn’t a problem, it’s often data to inform the process.
